PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND RECOMMENDED USE
SICOMET 85 is the standard for bonding metals to rubber as well as ceramic and ferrite
materials. Resistant to many solvents and chemicals, this adhesive features a low viscosity for easy handling and is best suited for close fitting parts.
SICOMET 7000
bonds metals to themselves or other substrates. It has a medium viscosity and allows some positioning time. It is especially useful for bonding slightly dirty or oily metals, and offers better moisture resistance than most cyanoacrylates.
SICOMET 99
is a high viscosity adhesive for bonding metals where gap-filling is needed. Slow-setting, it allows maximum part positioning time. It's well suited for bonding non-ferrous metals, giving good impact and vibration resistance and thermostability.
SICOMET 40
is a wicking grade adhesive designed for bonding preassembled plastic parts. It features a very fast setting time and gives good wetting on difficult to bond plastics. It has also been useful for bonding transformer laminates.
SICOMET 5023
features a moderately slow setting speed and very low viscosity. An excellent product for post-assembly where the adhesive must penetrate deeply into the preassembled parts. This product is non-stringing and can be used in normal cyanoacrylate dispensing equipment.
SICOMET 50
is the standard for bonding plastics and offers a fast overall cure speed. It is a versatile adhesive and gives good thermal, climatic and impact resistance. This product elasticity makes it especially suitable for bonding dissimilar materials.
SICOMET 63
is a fast curing adhesive with a medium viscosity, offering exceptional adhesion to plastic parts through good wetting properties. An ideal adhesive for filling small gaps on plastic surfaces.
SICOMET 8400
is a fast curing, medium viscosity material designed for the adhesion of most plastics and elastomers. It provides excellent drop control and the ability to bridge small tolerances. An excellent material for bonding most types of porous substances, such as foam rubber.
SICOMET 77
is a fast curing, high viscosity material for plastic bonding and is suitable where high impact resistance is desired. A good general purpose adhesive providing some gap-filling, it's useful for a variety of materials such as wood, cork and leather.
SICOMET 5019
is a high viscosity adhesive with a faster setting time than most high viscosity cyanoacrylates. It offers high elasticity, giving excellent bonds to dissimilar or porous materials. The viscosity facilitates gap-filling and the high temperature resistance to 250F makes it useful in loudspeaker assembly.
SICOMET 5044
is suggested for bonding plastics or porous materials where time is needed for part positioning. This product offers high elasticity and is suitable for bonding dissimilar materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion. This adhesive provides gap-filling and optimum flow control.
SICOMET POWERGEL
is an extremely high viscosity, medium fixturing, single component, industrial quality instant adhesive. Formulated to a clear gel and featuring non-stringing, non-migrating properties, it is suitable for most substrates.
SICOMET 5181
is a high viscosity black adhesive with a slow set speed. It is suitable for bonding porous substrates and materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion. The repositioning of parts and inspection of bonded assemblies is also possible.
SICOMET 8300 is the standard adhesive for bonding 0-rings and rubber materials. It features a low viscosity and fast setting time, joining hard to bond elastomers. It
is highly resistant to aging, weathering and plasticizer migration.
SICOMET 9000 Methoxyethyl is a low viscosity adhesive that features no odor, non-frosting characteristics and formulated for low blooming applications.
SICOMET 9010
Methoxyethyl is a medium viscosity adhesive featuring no odor, non-frosting characteristics where cosmetically critical bonding methods are required. Eliminates the need for special ventilation.
SICOMET 9020
Methoxyethyl is a high viscosity adhesive featuring no odor, non-frosting characteristics where cosmetically critical bonding methods are required. Eliminates the need for special ventilation.
Note: Actual setting times experienced will be effected by such factors as humidity, temperature, surfaces being bonded and
thickness of glue line. Certain materials such as untreated polyethylene/polypropylene, fluorocarbons and silicone rubber may present bonding problems. Long term adhesion of SICOMET cyanoacrylate to glass
surfaces is limited.
